I tried the registry trick on google, changing the MSE update hours from 24 hours to , not working! I tried googling, I am a master of google, no go. So now I rely on the [H].. I am about to uninstall and use Malwarebytes or something else with reliability Thanks for your time.

It is turning out to be quite a challenge. First I found I could delay the update frequency by diasableing the Windows update service. Disableing this will hault MSE from updating but also any other updates. However MSE is quite clever it will after 4 days start forcing updates through an alternative update service.

I think it is now where the registry twaeak can be used to set frequency. I am still testing this.. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback? Windows Server expert. Rui Meleiro This person is a verified professional. Uninstall it. I'm having a hard time understanding why you're even considering deploying a deprecated product in a production environment. This is strictly consumer-grade, and only for people who flatly refuse to use better paid alternatives.

Use the right tool for the job. Managed AV is stupidly inexpensive. Bryce Katz wrote: syedabbas2 wrote: Is there a way to stop Microsoft security Essentials to update automatically.
